Essential Qualification I. (a) Degree of a recognized University or Institute along with Diploma/Post Graduate Diploma in Journalism/Mass Communication from a recognized University/Institute OR (b) Degree in Journalism and Mass
Communication from a recognized University/Institute Note 1: Direct recruitment to post in Junior Grade IIS Group’B’ (Non-Gazetted) shall be made language-wise. The exact language requirement is provided in the ‘Remarks Column’. There will be no category-wise/community-wise reservation for any of the languages. Essential Qualification II. Job Requirement/ Duties of the Post
1. Press Information Bureau (PIB) - Preparation of news material for the
Press in English and other Indian languages translation of English
Language material to other Indian Languages and vice-versa
2. Directorate
of Advertising and Visual Publicity (DAVP) - Assisting in the organization of
Exhibitions, Publicity of Government Policies, Translation of English
Language material to other Indian Languages and vice-versa, analysis of
Press Reports and assisting in the preparation of publicity material,
preparation of research analysis papers for the publicity work.
3.
Registrar of Newspapers for India (RNI) - Scrutiny of contents or
newspapers, collection and collation of information pertaining to
newspapers and periodicals published in India. The compilation, revision and
maintenance of a list of newspapers.
4. New Media Wing (NMW) -
Classification and maintenance of reference material in the form of
clippings. Indexes and other documentation, to collect and collate
statistics and information on mass media of communication, in particular,
preparation of background notes, research studies and analysis.
5.
Publications Division (DPD) – Preparation and maintenance of reference on
current problems; Maintenance of clippings and indexing of important
articles from newspapers and periodicals etc and General reference work.
6. Niti Aayog (NA) - Publicity work relating to Niti Aayog.
7. Prime
Minister’s Officer (PMO) - Preparation of research analysis papers for the
publicity work.
