((i)) Diploma in Electrical Engineering with two years’ experience
in related field OR ((ii)) Degree in Electrical Engineering (The
degree or diploma as applicable shall be from a recognized
University/Institute). Note 1: As per clarification received from User Department candidates should have working experience in an organization such as Automobiles/Vehicles/Aerospace/Railways/Shipyards/Chemicals/Petrochemicals/Process industries, Process Instrumentation Automation/Construction/Manufacturing of Mechanical, Electrical & Electronics, Communication, Instrumentation etc in any one or more of the following areas: Design/Development/Production/Repair/Maintenance/Manufacturing/Installation of Machines or Equipments/Data Maintenance/Storage/Quality Control/Assurance/Testing/Preparation of Specifications or Requirements/Calibrations/Material Management/Procurement/Project Management/Maintenance of Website or Network/Maintenance & Evaluation of Statistical Data/Repair & Manufacturing of Computer Systems/Software Development & Support in any industries. Note 2: Qualification are relaxable at the discretion of Staff Selection Commission for reasons to be recorded in writing in the case of candidates otherwise well qualified. Job Requirement/ Duties of the Post
1. Maintenance of costly testing/lab equipment.
2. Investigate defective
stores like paints, varnishes, explosives, airborne store, chemicals,
petroleum products etc. Carry out test/inspection at firm’s premises, if
necessary.
3.Scan test reports and physically examine tested samples and
answer technical queries from various sources.
4. Assist/associate in
quality assurance activities for aircraft, air armament, airborne store
& GHE/GSE etc.
5. Carry out technical correspondence with various
agencies regarding procurement of stores, inspection procedure and quality
control at PSUs & ordnance factories.
6. Prepare and revise
specifications inspection schedules/instructions for approval of his group
officer and offer comment on IS & JS specification.
7.
Maintain/evaluate statistical data on sample testing.
8. Compile various
reports and returns (technical information like calibration data,
consumption of stores and chemicals, items in short supply).
9. Perform
orderly NGOs duty.
10. Any other duty assignment by his senior officer.
